Do you want to be healthy, slim and attractive? Well, that’s what a lot of people want. Advertising offers us a variety of ways to achieve this dream: diets of various types, nutrition in accordance with the phases of the moon, medicines, nutritional supplements, various sports activities, etc. More often than not, at first people get involved in any of the above with great hope, diligence and enthusiasm, but it soon becomes clear that less than a third of them achieve the desired results. For those who have been spared by luck, it is important to understand why this happened. Someone is forced to admit their own laziness, but what about those who regularly exercise and eat right, but whose weight does not decrease in any way? And if, at the same time, your girlfriend, who does the same, is getting slimmer every day? There is a feeling that something is going wrong. People search and find various recommendations, advice and publications on the Internet, which often contradict one another. Overwhelmed by this flow of information, a person gets lost and, at best, turns to some specialist for help, and at worst, he comes to the conclusion that “there is no point in doing something, because nothing helps me, and bad genes are to blame ‘ and does nothing else.

Bearing in mind that everyone is different – what suits one may not suit at all and even harms another, the GenEra laboratory offers an effective solution: a personalized weight management program based on DNA analysis, an analysis that examines genetic markers (SNPs) in seven different genes. which, in turn, are involved in various metabolic regulation processes. The result obtained allows you to create an individual, suitable for a particular person, nutrition and physical activity program. However, this can only be done by a specialist who understands both genetics and human physiology, as well as the science of nutrition. One such specialist is Kristīne Sekace, Master, Nutrition Specialist.

A new simplified method for the analysis of the fatty acid profile in the blood, which does not require lipid extraction, has been discovered.

A new simplified method for the analysis of the fatty acid profile in the blood, which does not require lipid extraction, has been discovered. This new method, which uses fingerstick blood drops, was compared with the traditional lipid analysis method, which involves drawing venous blood.
The full linearity of the gas chromatographic response of the 11 individual fatty acids is maintained at peaks from C14 to C24 when the sample size is increased in the range of 15–75 μg. This new blood fatty acid profiling method is approved for nutrition research.
The fatty acid profile for blood lipids reflects dietary fat intake. Studies have shown that this profile is closely related to health status.
This is because the blood lipid profile represents the types of fats that the body has available for incorporation into all cells and tissues, including cell membranes.

Thus, this new method for analyzing the profile of fatty acids in the blood can be used to study
vaniya in the field of nutrition. 11 fatty acids included in the profile will be determined with 98% accuracy: palmitic (PC), stearic (SA), oleic (OK), linoleic (LA), alpha-linolenic (ALA), gamma-linolenic (GLA), dihomo-gamma-linolenic (DGGLA), arachidonic (AA), eicosapenta-
enoic (EPA), docosapentaenoic (DPC), docosahexaenoic (DHA).

WHAT WILL THE TEST SHOW?
Importance of the fatty acid profile

This score is derived from an equation that includes all long-chain essential fatty acids (omega-6 and omega-3), omega-3 (EPA+DHA) levels, and “Balance of omega-6 (AA) and omega-3 (EPA)” “. If the fatty acid profile value is over 90% (green), your diet is balanced anti-inflammatory. But if it is below 90% (yellow or red), you may benefit from changing your diet according to our recommendations in the Diet Change Guide.

Omega-3 level (EPA+DHA), %
Omega-3 Levels (EPA+DHA) is the combined percentage of marine omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) of total fatty acids found in the blood.

Marine omega-3 EPA and DHA levels should preferably exceed 8% (green) of total fatty acids. If this level drops below 4% (red), it may be difficult for the body to maintain normal cell and tissue development (homeostasis). If this level falls below 8% (yellow or red), you may benefit from changing your diet according to our recommendations in the Diet Change Guide.

Marine omega-3 EPA and DHA levels are an important factor in many life processes, especially those related to lifestyle. Marine eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) omega-3 is the most important omega-3 fatty acid found in muscle and liver, marine docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) omega-3 is predominant in the eyes, seminal fluid and cerebral cortex. Omega-3 fatty DHA is essential for the normal functional development of the brain and retina, especially in preterm infants. DHA is of paramount importance for intrauterine brain development. Its share in the fatty acids that are in the brain and are involved in the formation of membrane phospholipids is 40%. Proper intake of DHA is considered to be very beneficial for health – among other things, it ensures the development of the brain and retina, delays aging, promotes memory formation, supports the functioning of synaptic membranes and biogenesis of visual receptors, and also has a neuroprotective effect.

Balance of omega-6 (AA) and omega-3 (EPA)

This is the ratio of plant omega-6 arachidonic acid (AA), which is 20 carbons long and produces eicosanoids, to marine omega-3 eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). This ratio is an approximation of the distribution of vegetable and fish fatty acids in the diet. With an excess of vegetable omega-6 fatty acids, the diet will become unbalanced and pro-inflammatory (Fig. 2).
It is desirable that the ratio of omega-6 (AA) to omega-3 (EPA) be less than 3:1 (green color).

Efficiency of formation of arachidonic acid (AA)
This indicator is measured as a percentage of the essential omega-6 fatty acids – arachidonic (AA) and linoleic (LA). It measures how efficiently dietary linoleic acid (LA) omega-6 is converted in the body to arachidonic acid (AA) omega-6.
To meet the body’s need for arachidonic acid (AA) omega-6, the efficiency of AA formation must exceed 30% (green color). If this indicator falls below 30% (yellow or red), you

Tanita BC-1000 Body Composition Monitor

Weighing just like that is the most useless thing to do. Do you know what exactly you weigh? What is your body composition? What really matters is the ratio of fat to muscle tissue. Thinness cannot and should not be the goal in any case. Skinny ones are also very different. Light weight is not a guarantee of slimness. Slimness is elasticity and muscles, it is texture, strength and health. Slenderness always weighs a couple of kg more, but it looks the same in volume and size of clothes. Remember that the minimum safe percentage of body fat in women is 12-13%. Don’t get carried away, it’s all about balance!

Our scales TANITA, when buying a lesson on the Aquabike, will show you the following parameters ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE!

  • Fat, free fat mass
  • Total amount of water in the body (% and kg)
  • Muscle mass
  • Amount of visceral fat %
  • Body weight
  • Mineral bone weight
  • Body mass index
  • metabolic age
  • Required number of calories
